Product Description

CO-Series Standalone Locks
CO-Series standalone locks are a cost effective solution that provides a variety of factory orderable options.

The CO-Series is the ideal solution for customers seeking the added security and convenience of electronic access control without the cost or complexity of a fully networked system.

Schlage CO-220

Classroom lock based on CO-200 design with the addition of a wearable fob remote for lockdown of up to 10 paired locks with the push of a button.

CO-220 Classroom Lockdown Solution

Upgrade school security - simply and affordably. Put control of up to 10 paired locks in the hands of teachers. Using a wearable remote fob, CO-220 enables lockdown with the push of a button from anywhere in the classroom. Its LED indicator then illuminates so room occupants can have confidence the door has been secured. CO-220 is an ideal choice for schools needing to improve the immediacy of security for their classrooms. As a standalone electronic solution it's simple to manage and less costly than a networked system, but still provides the ability to capture audit trails and set auto lock and unlock schedules.

The CO-220 is an affordable standalone solution that allows immediate local lockdown of up to 10 paired locks in range by simply pushing the button on the remote fob from anywhere in the classroom. An illuminated visual indicator located on the interior side of the lock provides instant verification that the door is secured. The CO-220 provides a localized solution for schools that want to upgrade without the cost or complexity of a networked system.

The remote fob can be worn conveniently around the neck or wrist so that it is immediately accessible by teachers and staff members. Lockdown can be initiated by pressing the button on the fob from anywhere inside the room.  When the button on the remote fob is pressed the visual indicator on the lock illuminates to provide verification that the door is secured from inside the room.

The CO-220 is available with a variety of options to meet the specific needs of your school or district with solutions for classrooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, and more. Choose your reader type which enables you to assign PIN numbers or proximity cards to your staff members instead of keys for access. For small campuses, the CO-220 Lock can be manually programmed allowing you to add or delete users at the lock. For larger campuses you can use offline access control software* which provides the ability to manage a database of access users, set auto lock and unlock schedules and capture audit trails from the lock. In both cases, remote fobs are paired at the lock; multiple fobs can be paired to a lock.

Cylindrical, mortise, and exit trim chassis options are available as well as a wide variety of finishes and lever styles to suite with your existing hardware. Mechanical key override is standard and compatible with multiple cylinder types. The CO-Series has been tested the highest standards in the industry to ensure quality and reliability you have come to expect from Schlage. The CO-220 is ANSI/BHMA A156.25 and is ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 certified and UL fire rated.

The CO Series standalone classroom lockdown solution with remote fob and visual indicator is the ideal solution for customers who require the ability to initiate immediate local lockdown of up to 10 paired locks within range in the event of an emergency. The CO-220 classroom lockdown solution with remote fob and visual indicator can be put into a lockdown state (panic mode) from within the room by authorized staff members utilizing a pre-paired remote fob.

The CO-220 classroom lockdown solution with remote fob and visual indicator is computer or manually programmable with user rights stored on the lock. The Handheld Device (HHD), used in conjunction with your access control software, allows you to easily add or delete users and retrieve audits.

By issuing electronic credentials, you can minimize the number of mechanical keys issued which protects the integrity of your key system. A variety of credential readers are also available, including keypad, magnetic stripe and proximity.

Cylindrical, mortise and exit trim chassis options are available as well as a wide variety of finishes and levers to suite with your existing hardware. Mechanical key override is standard and compatible with multiple cylinder types.

Standalone access control solutions provide added security, convenience and efficiency for openings that do not require real-time monitoring. They allow you to reduce rekeying costs by issuing electronic credentials which can easily be added or deleted at any time. Audit trails tell you who requested access and when. You can also save time and money by setting automatic lock and unlock schedules for specific time zones and holidays.

Schlage AD-Series and CO-Series are the first electronic locks to achieve UL 294 certification which is the standard for safety of access control units. Both models feature a robust integrated design which incorporates many of the components typically found around the door including the lockset, credential reader and door position switch. They also offer a choice of chassis, credential reader, lever and finish options to meet the needs of a variety of applications and facilities.

Need help deciding between the AD-Series and CO-Series? The AD-Series is the ideal solution if you want flexibility. The modular design of the AD-Series allows you to upgrade from standalone to networked if your needs change in the future. The AD-Series also allows you to upgrade credential readers without taking the lock off the door. The CO-Series is preferable if you do not expect your needs to change. CO-Series options are factory orderable rather than upgradable like the AD-Series.
